## Description

[Gas Canister (Smart)](/wiki/gas-canister-smart) is used to store gasses. The gasses can then be output at a rate of 101.325 kPa per tick. Overpressurizing the canister will cause it to explode. The maximum pressure for a canister is 20.265 MPa, or 200 Earth atmospheres. Its internal volume is 64 Litres.

[Gas Canister (Smart)](/wiki/gas-canister-smart) has a pressure capacity twice that of the standard Gas [Canister](/wiki/canister), and a visual display of tank pressure on its side.

Visual display legend:
| Pressure (MPa) | Number of bars out of 10 | Color of bars |
|---|---|---|
| 2-10 | 2 | | Grey |
| 10-16 | 5 | | Yellow |
| 16-18 | 9 | | Green |
| 18-20 | 10 | | Blue |
| 20+ | 10 | | Red (overpressure) |

## Usage

To fill the canister, place it into a [Gas Tank Storage](/wiki/gas-tank-storage) unit connected to a pipe network carrying gas (equalizing the pressure in the network and canister). It can also be refilled by inserting it into the striped area above of the [Portable Tank](/wiki/portable-tank).

When held in the hands, a canister can be opened, causing its contents to equalize with the atmosphere (or contents of a sealed room).

## Used In

- [EVA Suit](/wiki/eva-suit) and [Hardsuit](/wiki/hardsuit) for Breathable Gas and Waste
- EVA [Spacepack](/wiki/spacepack) and [Hardsuit Jetpack](/wiki/hardsuit-jetpack) for Propulsion Gas
- [Welder](/wiki/welder) for Fuel
- [Portable Generator](/wiki/portable-generator) for Fuel
- [Portable Hydroponics](/wiki/portable-hydroponics) for Water
