## Purpose

A Kit (Blast Door) is used to build a [Portal](/wiki/portal) that will withstand extreme forces.

A [Kit (Airlock)](/wiki/kit-airlock) might serve as a suitable substitution, offering far less pressure and damage resistance, but can be operated manually.


## Characteristics

All varients of Kit (Blast Door) share the following characteristics:
- They are guaranteed to be airtight.
- They have no limit to the [Pressure](/wiki/pressure) it can constrain.
- They have a very high resistance to [Damage](/wiki/damage) compared to other [Portal](/wiki/portal)s.

- They can be built horizontally.
