## Purpose

The [Landing Pad Atmospherics](/wiki/landing-pad-atmospherics) is used to trade [Gases](/wiki/gas) or [Liquids](/wiki/liquid) (mainly [Water](/wiki/water)) with [Traders](/wiki/trader) to land. It can be placed on any support structure.
It is **not needed** for a [Trader](/wiki/trader) to land but a proper setup will allow the player to trade [Gases](/wiki/gas) and [Liquids](/wiki/liquid) directly.
