Linear rails enable the [[LArRE](/wiki/linear-rail) robotic arm to move horizontally and vertically. They can be oriented in any direction.

The network created by these rails can only be linear (i.e. without intersections).

Rails can be connected to a [linear rail door](/wiki/linear-rail-door) if LArRE needs to pass through rooms that need to be sealed.

## Station

Stations are used to allow LArRE to stop and interact with a machine below.

A gap of 3 small grid units is required between the station and the device.
