## Description

The Mining Drill (Heavy) has 2 modes, default and flatten, where the flatten mode levels the ground (it can not dig down). The drill is used for mining, and requires a [battery](/wiki/battery-cell) to operate.

The benefit of this drill is that it mines much faster than the [Mining Drill](/wiki/mining-drill). Unlike the standard Mining Drill, the Mining Drill (Heavy) does not have a "Mk II" variant, as the base model has the same temperature tolerance as a Mk II of the standard Mining Drill.  This makes it just as useful on extremely hot planets like [Vulcan](/wiki/worlds#vulcan) as on other planets.
